Recommendation? After a few flips, my Reate Hills starts to gum up. What's wrong, and how can I solve this?

I've had a Reate Hills flipper for quite some time now, and until a few weeks ago the action was buttery smooth. Now, however, after about a dozen flips, I feel some very tangible friction slowing the action down very considerably and to a point where I'm having a hard time even flipping it open. The next time I pick it up, the friction has gone away...

What could be causing this problem? I don't know of anything that could happen to a knife that would cause something like this and go away after being at rest for a time.

Disassemble, clean with a solvent like brake cleaner or acetone. Scrub with a brush. I like to let the bearings soak in acetone for a bit. Then reassemble. Use dry or with a lube. Grease or oil will work. Use very light tho. A thin layer of oil is all you need. Apply a drop spread it around with a q tip or whatever and put your thumb on it. If you can see your finger print that's good. Enough. Assemble.
