I just did it. I bought a Sebenza!!!! I decided today at work that today was the day. Just paid for it and it is on route. I got a small 21. Can't tell you how long I have been drooling over this.

Great, great, great ...

Good job. I held off for a long time over a sebenza, but decided on a umnumzaan.

Everything about it is amazing, best knife I own. I know you'll feel the same.
 
I've got one (regular Sebenza) coming to me on the passaround; I'm looking forward to it, and I'm pretty certain I'll want one once I send it on.

Let us know what you like and dislike - if 'dislike' is possible - about it, and, well, you know, the usual. Post something for us to drool over.

Ya I am pretty excited about getting it. It took me a long time to get the nerve to spend the money. I was planning on parting with some of my collection, but I decided to just save up and get it. Could not part with the rest. I have got a giant jar of change that will be cashed in tomorrow to offset the cost. My Sebenza fund ... haha.

I think it was the "show me your titanium liner locks thread that pushed me over the edge yesterday.

I've also debated for several years about buying a Sebenza, but just can't "pull the trigger". I haven't convinced myself it's worth over $300+.
 
I had some drinks at dinner. That made it a little easier to pull the trigger. Haha. Glad I saved up and didn't get rid of some of my other knives. I know that I could sell it back if I did not like it, but I also know that will probably never happen.
 
I too have the small 21 and love it, so well crafted, nothing comes close in a production knife, well worth the bucks, congrats and enjoy!
 
Thinking about ordering myself a lefthanded umnumzaan, I've heard nothing but good about the sebenza's. Let us know how she functions compared to other designs ect. Thanks,

I just added a BG-42 small regular to my modest group of classic and 21 Sebenzas. Sebenzas aren't cheap, but they are a great knife and definitely worth giving a roadtest.
 
Congratulations. I'm not a folder guy, but that is the one folder on my list.

I highly reccomend the umnumzaan.

I looked at tons of photos, youtube videos of the zaan, read so many positive posts about it. So I figured the surprise factor would be minimal, but I still actually said wow out loud when I opened mine up.

Even if you just hate how it feels in the hand, which I suppose is possible, not likely though-mine is perfect to me-you will still see the high level of quality and understand what all the hype is about.

I got mine for 380 brand new-a bit of savings-ive seen them as low as 350 new-but its worth 400. Its even saved me money, I have no desire to replace the zaan as my EDC
