I have been missing my old boy scout swiss army knife for years. I dont even remember the model name, it use to have the BSA symbol and toothpick with tweezers, but the handle slabs fell off a few years before I lost it. the blade's had been narrowed by numerous sharpening's, most of any belly on the blade is gone and very little of the tip sweeps upward anymore.

So my sons mom, my ex asked to borrow my truck today. I went to pick up my boy and switch out vehicles this morning got in her new car and had to adjust everything, put it in gear and took off. When i got on the freeway and became more accustomed to the handling of the vehicle I started to look around the cabin a bit, and looked in the center console and saw a bit of familiar steel with a lanyard ring on it. I thought to myself that it had a striking resemblance to my old favorite, and when I pulled it out I I was shocked to discover that my knife had returned to me. (well she doesn't know it yet :p )

So its my birthday today, oddly enough, and I had one of my oldest knives come back into my hand! This has made my day (I'm guessing about 8 years it has been missing). Going to have to get some new handles put on this and put it back in my pocket again.

Happy Birthday!

I lost and found my old BSA knives a little while ago, and now they are resting peacefully in my knife drawer.

Here's of pic of my babies that saw much action during the 80's. The brown one was my first knife. It's nice to pick up an old favorite and have the memories come back.

Good for you! Nice reunitement! BTW, that's a couple of fine looking knives in that pic.

That's a birthday present from the almighty right there!

Great stuff. Love it when something like this happens.

Happy Birthday.

Thank you all, I have already cleaned and sharpened it. It's nice to have it back.
