Just wondering about the relative ease or difficulty in finding after market scales for knives such as Spydie Police, ZT, and BM 710. No clue if they are readily available or not.

I will have few for sale in couple of weeks , I will post it in for sale area .

some people here on BFC that make after market scales are Phillip Dobson and peter r, they both make some great lookin scales

Does anybody make aftermarket scales that don't need the knife sent in? It's a risk to have a knife pass through Philippine customs and Postal system.

It seems that the maker tuffthumbz mentioned doesn't require the knife to be sent in - I'd confirm it with them before buying, though.

If the maker owns the same knife you don't have to sent yours.
But if he has to buy the same knife just to make youre scales the scales will be expensive:)

I make replacement grips for Benchmade's Griptilian Series folders which are not a copy of the original grips, rather they are my own design. The knife does not need to be sent in as long as the owner is capable of taking their knife apart and putting it back together.

I don't make grips for other models – with the exception of the Spydrco Leafstorm which I designed.
