Does anyone make some sort of an accessory that you could use to wave a standard Endura? I am curious if something like this exists? It seems easy enough to manufacture. Just make an accessory that would attach to the hole.

I know you can buy an Endura waved. I already have a standard one that would be good to convert.

Super glue and heavier fishing line can be used to build up a "wave".

Make a few wraps of fishing line, and soak with super glue. If you want, you can build up one side to act as a "wave" or even attach some piece of plastic.

I do wraps to act as a thumb stud on knives with too small opening assist holes.

I thought I heard that STR did some kind of aftermarket wave that was allowed by Emerson. I've never seen a picture of it though.

I tried that. It did not seem that reliable. Are there any other ways?

I have applied and used the Ghetto wave any number of times, and I never found a time that it did not work.

Without telling you your business, I would like to make a couple suggestions...

Select a large zip tie for this application, one with a 'knuckle' of some substance.

Make sure that the zip tie is positioned with the 'knuckle' really sticking out, above the spine, sometimes they get off to one side, which can be a problem.

Before trimming the zip tie, get angry with it, give it some love, and tighten it as far as possible, this reduces movement, and movement reduces efficacy.

In use, actually do your best to drag the spine of the knife against the corner of the pocket.

And extract the knife, not in the normal 'straight north' fashion, but pull it more to the rear. This maximizes the action of the ghetto wave against the pocket.

If I was there in person, I could help diagnose, but with those tips, you should be rolling.

If you've got a Dremel and some patience you can grind away part of the Spyderhole and make what is called the "Tsunami."

Like the other folks have said, a zip-tie is pretty much the only way to go for a removable wave. I have tried it and didn't really care for it because I could feel the zip tie poking my leg. Since I don't really have any need for a quick open feature, I took it off.

100% agree with this; in my experience, a ghetto wave is just as effective as the real thing when put on right. The only thing I'd add is that the zip ties with a metal piece in the head (instead of the all-plastic ones) lock down tighter because they don't slip while being pulled tight, in my experience.

you could do something like this

The secret to the ghetto wave is to put two zip ties instead of one. The second ziptie negates any "slipping" or mis alignment. Even plastic zip ties would do.

Have this on my Endura and works like a charm.

I also agree with Marion David Poff . I will however, add that another trick to the zip-tie wave is to cut the zip-tie in such a manner that it is angled, and the tip of that angle digs into your pocket, thereby enhancing the wave action.

IOW, it should be pointing upward when clipped into your pocket. I don't have the knife or pics handy right now, but did post them somewere at some time over the past 2-4 years I'm guessing.
