After temper

I find the color band appealing myself. Too bad they’re such a thin layer, or I’d leave them on more often.

I plan on making another and leaving it on. The scotchbrite belts are able to polish the knife after heat treatment without getting the knife hot before temper. So I figure I can get it to keep the gold look.
