How To After Tempering the Damascus steel, anyway to remove the color?

Hello all, I am new to this forum as well as the blademaking I have plenty of questions want to ask.

if like I tempered the damascus steel - carbon steel, so it should be turning blue or other color,
is there anyway to remove the colored surface?
or is it changed from inside out?

It's only a surface change. It will come out with finish sanding.

Yep. Just take it to your desired level of refinement and etch. No worries.
