After the Florida Khukuri Konvention, what's next?

I was wondering what we should do after the Florida gathering? Should the next gathering/konvention be a camping trip or bite the big one and actually go to Nepal. Any ideas would be welcome and maybe we can plan for it. I felt the first Khukuri Konvention was a success, and so the Florida one would also be a success. Imagine a bunch of Forumites in the woods running around testing Khukuris

For me, BA, Nepal is pretty much out of the question, but the camping idea sounds great! Perhaps it could be more centrally located to enable the greatest number of folks to attend. And if we do the camping thing, the time of year will obviously be a big factor.

There had been an attempt to gather a group for a trip to Nepal once, but it fell through.
The camping idea is good, but I think we will be relegated,to have gatherings of any kind localized, with all that can make it;make it and others wait till it comes to a neighborhood near you.Work will always get in the way of fun;we have to pay for these khukuris some how.
I am not looking that far ahead yet,I want the Florida konvention to happen first.I am both stund and impressed to see Navada's konvention come and go.I know it will happen here too. Can't wiat.

Ray you are in charge down there and we have some time so take it easy and do what you think is best. I think Feb. is a good time for the convention. How and where is up to you -- maybe Blues will have some ideas and he might even be able to help with the organization some. We folks who live in cold climates will welcome a little warm weather in Feb. and let's face it, FL in August is no picnic.

If some people want to go to Nepal and try their hand a forging a blade in BirGorkha let me know. April or May is really good time for Nepal.

Uncle, when I get a chance I think I might be interested! I'm trying to get my shop set up in my yard and garage. My forge would be in my yard and the rest of my finishing equipment in my garage. Never been to Nepal, and so, my wife and myself would be interested in the future!

Be glad to do what I can.

Hopefully the bad guys will give me a window of opportunity around then so other commitments can go on the back burner.

You can count me in for the Florida get-together, regardless of when it is or where in Florida it takes place. I will be there!
