I am setting up a project modifying a Spyderco Police model with G-10 scales. I am going to have it tuned-up and the clip moved among other things, and I would like to have the blade Black-T'ed.

Has anyone ever worked with Walter Birdsong??? Or should I go with someone else??

Any ideas?

Nope!

"Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!"

One phone call to Mr. Birdsong will assuage all your fears. He's a super guy, cares about the product he makes, and cares for the people he serves as well. Talk to him, then decide for yourself, but plan on spending a few minutes. He likes to chat.

Im not much on blade coatings, but Walter is definitely one of the top in the world on the subject of coatings.....and a fellow Mississippian!!

Matt.

Matt, I didn't let the fact that he's in Mississippi change my good opinion of him.
