A while back, I read somewhere about an aftermarket clip for the Sebenzas. I need a clip that allows me to wear my Sebbie(s) on my uniform trousers without tearing up the pocket edges. Thanks!

This sounds like a winner. My pockets are starting to look pretty bad. Not to change the nature of the thread but is it the rough beadblast finish that is causing the wear or the edges of the clip? I'm not sure what it is but was wondering if owners of the decorated models experience this problem also.

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!

Copfish,

I have the same problem. My Chief keeps asking why my pockets constantly need repaired. I play dumb, but I think he's catching on (ha-ha). I have found that bending clips out a little gives them the room they need. The down side is if you bend too much, the fit is too loose. Dropped and lost a Sypdie worker once that way during a foot chase. Not a good day.

If you carry it IWB - this reduces the problems you describe. The belt also helps stable to knife.

Of course - it is slower to draw - but this is the trade off in life - speed Vs. safety

same with carrying an unconcealed weapon - way faster - but is it safe???

Hmm... Interesting... This touches upon a post I did to the other Reeve forum over at Knifeforums.com. See: http://www.knifeforums.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/000380.html

FWIW, the new clip that Mr. Reeve's shop sent me still isn't solving the problem of worn pants pockets. I think the idea of a new/different clip has a lot of appeal for me.

The recent vintage Sebenzas with their additional cutout under the clip would also seem like a good idea. I've been meaning to inquire with them about the possibility of buying a new right grip panel because I'm so very annoyed with the pocket wearing problem. But a new clip with more clearance would definitely solve the problem and for a lot less money...
