Aftermarket sheath for a 20 inch sirupati?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any sheaths ready made that fit a 20 inch model. Would also be fine with buying a cheap machete khukri with the same dimensions and using that sheath.

Make your own. I did and was surprised how easy it was.

Problem with machete sheaths is that they are designed for blades .15 inch thick not .35-.50

where did you get the leather from trying to find decent price but not bulk

Just a thought:

It might be easier to modify a machete sheath for the extra thickness, than to make a sheath from scratch.

I bought a shoulder from my local Tandy leather store. $40 and I've made 2 sheaths with enough to make 1-2 more.

Or you could try kydex I too am wanting another sheath for my 18 inch sirupate and 18 inch ASTK. I will try my hand at molding kydex. never done it before but I will give it a shot and see how it works. If not I know a couple of kydex sheath makers here on the forums and Im sure they wont mind if I give you the contact info.
