Aftermarket Sheath Thread (post some pics)

I like sheaths as much as I like knives. I have an RTAKII, a RC-4, RC-6 and Izula that may be in the market for some new carry options.

What are the best options out there for RAT knives in kydex, leather, nylon?

I really like the Eagle Industries RC-5 sheath and would like to find something similar for an RC-6. Heard the Spec Ops combat master is a good option(pic attached).

I'd like to minimize the chances of buyers remorse by seeing what others are using and avoid finding a sheath I really like the day after I buy a different one

what about y'all? what do you use?

:D I carry my izula sheath in a modified leatherman sheath. The leatherman sheath has a nice vertical and horizontal belt option and it is padded so when I carry it in my pocket it is pretty comfortable.
 
I'm in the same boat as you byrd. I tried fitting my 6 into an old ka-bar sheath and it works but not as good as a spec-ops sheath. I'm waiting for Rat to make an molle back for the 6...
 
I'm a big fan of Kydex - I've got a couple of sheaths on the way from a mate will post some pics up when they get here
 
Survival Sheath Systems has the old Spec-Ops Survival Sheath:

Not sure if they bought all of Spec Ops' old stock, or purchased exclusive rights and has them make it up for them. IMO, it's a bit nicer than the Combat Master, as there's no noisy velcro, you have the strap and fastex to attach things to, and the pouch is slightly bigger and has a front zipper opening.

If you want a pouch type sheath, these are the shizzle.
 
A while back I had Andy of Andy's Leatherworks make me an awesome leather sheath for my RC-6.

I actually love the survival sheath by Survival sheath systems , but I'm currently on month FIVE, yes, FIVE (that's one more than FOUR) of playing the "we'll ship your RTAK kydex sheath this week" game with them

without question the worst experience I've had in some time. don't care one bit about the wait, it's the fact I've been told no less than three times that i'll have it shortly, and I continue to sit on my hands.

yesterday I sent yet another email telling them if a refund was easier for them than getting me the sheath, then that'd be fine with me.

so in all liklihood they will not be getting my business unless I A) get my sheath or refund and B) get a pretty good explanation of why I'm getting jerked around.
