Aftermarket thumb studs for Inkosis?

I've seen some pictures of aftermarket thumb studs on Inkosis here, and decided that I'd like to do some experimenting with a large PJ. I bought a double-stud set from Etsy and when it arrived I found that the threaded part is much a much smaller diameter than the hole in the CRK blades. I'm not really excited about the idea of a thumb stud moving, requiring oodles of threadlocker, and in general, being installed in a manner that I consider to be "Bubba'd".

Can anyone recommend a place to buy a quality double-stud that actually fits the hole size in an Inkosi? And, is the thumb stud hole the same size on large Sebenza & Inkosi? It's hard to tell when the OEM studs are installed.

I don't have any brand recommendations for you. Just be aware that this experimentation will most likely void your warranty, also making it harder to resell if that's ever your plan.
Very true. I tend to keep my folders. Last time I sold one was in 2015 and it's been eternal nightmares and regret ever since.

Not actually sure if I'd commit to changing one out. There's a beat-up old Seb 21 that I have that would probably be a good test case for new stud. Maybe I should use the stud I bought for that and see how it goes.

I did a stud swap in one of my Sebenza's. Was it needed, no. Does it look awesome, yes. Also was a double stud upgrade basically.

The glowrihno thumb stud's fit. but if you want something fancy... ARcustomknives does a nice set in whatever material you want.

Cool! When you say that GlowRhino fits, do you mean that the stud is the same size as the OEM hole (and that the clearances are correct between the hole and the scales)?

And, are the studs in the picture GlowRhino, or ARCustomKnives?

The factory studs are OK and have obviously always been the same. Something less pointy would be preferable for me. I can fondle an Inkosi for days without problems, but one day on a 31 leads to rough skin and callouses. I'd like to fix that.

These are from ARcustomknives. These have a threaded stud and a bushing to center them within the through hole in the blade.

The glowrhino large studs fit the CRK's with little issue.

Great stuff. Thank you.
