Hello all, wondering if anyone has tried carrying the Aftermath in a IWB Kydex sheath, or any sort of sheath at all. also is it possible to make a kydes sheath with a lining to prevent marring of the handle surface,or at least minimize it. Hmmm should post this one also in the general forums I guess...

You can put a lining in the Kydex sheath that will minimize the scratching associated with Kydex.

I have been working on an IWB design for a Madd Maxx to be carried tip up, but those darne flippers are causing me issues. I am not good at thinking things out. As stated, Mike would be the man and in fact told me he can whip up a tip down IWB for the Maxx easily. I have no doubt he could make an Aftermath sheath just as easily.

Lining kydex with anything plain and simple,,doesn't work...

It will cause you more stress than the slight rubbing you'll get...

Believe me when I say it Don't work..

Very Cool. Thanks for the reply guys. I get my Aftermath tomorrow, I'll see how it carries by itself, but will probably contact Mr. Sastre. I'm more afraid of a tip down knife opening IWB than tip up.

I guess the scuffing of Kydex shouldn't be an issue, I don't intend this one for a display case but for carry, on me, in knapsacks, in car, etc. I sold off most of my fancy customs because I didn't want knives I was afraid to get scuffed/scatched, etc. As for the lining, I was reaching, I realized that the lining itself would get scraped, bunch up, hold grit, and then there's no remedy.

Again thanks for the advise and helping me claify my thoughts on it.

Handled the aftermath a few days ago. Awesome folder, cant wait fill I can really check it out...

Hey all sorry for the misspellings. My typing skills have deteriorated since becoming a knifenut. But I can flick and flip like there's no tomorrow!
