I'm back in Newfoundland for a couple of weeks, the last time before we make the big move back from Peru at the end of February. I took Sunday off and went for a drive just outside of St John's for a hike. It was blowing a gale, must have been 60-70km/h when I took this photo at the end of Blackhead Point, it's so windy here that the snow only accumulates in the hollows. It's acutally snowing but it's blowing by too quickly to see it in the photo. Normally the view from here would have been quite spectacular looking out over the ocean from the top of a 100m cliff.
found some shelter in the trees back from the point and stopped for a spot of tea
RC-4 and Izula along for the ride
a view near the mouth of St. John's harbour on the way back
Signal Hill "guarding" the mouth of St John's harbour
and finally a couple of shots from Saturday when the sun was out
It's a beautiful rugged place....
