Today was in the high 70`s, a perfect Illinois day for a hike in one of my favorites areas, Hickory Creek Preserve, which is very close to home. We went on a 4 mile loop, which took us through prairie areas, woods, by the creek, and by a pond I used to fish at when I was a kid, 50 years ago. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Looks like a nice hike. I don't envy you in the wintertime but I'd love to see some 70 degree weather now. We haven't had lows in the 70's in a while.

Nice area. 70 deg. weather? Even better. Thanks for sharing those pics.

How wonderful. I am visiting my parents in Dallas area and as jacall implies, it's frigging hot here. Great pics. Nice knife.

Great day for a hike.....no survival fishing kit onhand though??????

In my PSK, which I had with me. Also proved it`s worth again yesterday. A little girl was rollerblading with her mom, and fell on a paved part of the trail. I gave her mom a bandaid to patch her up.
