Anyone have one of these or know about them? They say just like the Camillus but in D2
 
I have both the D2 EDC and Arclite.I believe they were a special run by Camillus for A.G. Russell.
I sent my Arclite to Taz and he put G-10 handle slabs on mine for a better grip.
 
I was so excited about this knife, I bought two. I cord wrapped one, and I am going to put slabs on the second one. The cordwrapped knife is great. Cuts, cuts, cuts! for $40 and $5 for some cord, and an hour with some kydex scraps and glue.

I just get a special jazz from such an inexpensive knife that works so well.
 
Yeah I agree Steve.., maybe the best buy around.., they are real cutters.., and pretty darned tough for an inexpensive knife...

Got one, and love it. Mine has a Boron Carbide and chromium coating, and is cordwrapped. Use it around the house now and then.
Wonderful little knife.
Only reason it doesn't get used much is that I've got the custom version with CF scales, and carry that everyday.
The ArcLite is one of my favorite designs-these are great using knives.
 
I'm thinking of getting one or two myself...where would I get the boron carbide coating done? Where do I send the knife for G-10 slabs? I'm located in Vancouver, Canada so a Canadian resource would be even more convenient.

The only place that does Boron Carbide is BodyCote Diamond Black Inc.

You can do a search on the forums for the last six months, and I believe BC has been discussed in the General, Knife Reviews & Testing, and Chris Reeve Knives forums-probably be easiest to do a search for username DarrellGLewis (their Director of Market Development-who has participated on the forums).
You can also email him or Ann Spuller (Marketing Manager) about sending a knife for coating.

Very nice folks.
I had the AL and a folder blade coated with BC and chromium for under $30. Price varies with the size of the blade, and any polishing or blasting they have to do to it prior to coating.

btw, AG Russell (1-800-255-9034) is the only place to get the D2 ArcLite

They're $49.95, now-had an "introductory" price of $39.95.
