AG Russel Sting 1A is coming back made by CRKT

On the other forum we have been hounding AG to bring back the one piece Sting 1A and he told us that CRKT will be bringing them out. Welp I wanted to know when I needed to have the cash ready I called CRKT and the nice lady that answered the phone said that they have them as coming out in Feb. They will be shown in the 2006 catalog thats coming out soon.
 
I love the design too-the Sting went out of production before "I got into Knives". I like CRKT I own several of their knives and until recently they were my go to company. I just hope the materials they choose does the design justice i.e. no 420 series steel or AUS 4.
 
I lost my AG Russell Sting 1A teflon coated friend in 1982 and have missed and dreamed of it ever since. Hope the reincarnation is all that great blade once was.:D
 
i think 40 bucks is low for a nife like the sting.i can only assume it wont be like the orignal,which i have.that was an integral
 
Oh, man, I am thrilled about this. I've wanted one of these for years. I wonder if AG Russell could be persuaded to do a version with a 6 inch blade?

I gave one of the original Stings to a friend about 16 yrs ago.
It was just too easy to conceal.
I had no idea of what I had, DOH!
