I just had to say that picture of the A.G. Russell Eages Beak on the front cover of the latest catalog caught my eye so badly I had to stare at it for a while.

This must be an evolutionary tick taking place in my knife life because this is not my typical knife by any stretch but that sure is an good looking knife.

Has anyone used it yet?

It has caught my eye also, and for the relatively low price of admission, I think I may get one.

It caught my eye too, when I was looking for A. G. Russell's version of the Texas Toothpick the other day on their online catalog. I was disappointed to find it is discontinued---it was not present on the site (the Toothpick, that is).

I saw the Eagle's Beak while browsing and it interested me pretty well, although I wish it was American made with something in the realm of 154CM for the blade. For the relatively low cost, it certainly is appealing to my eye and wallet.

Being his first "made in China" knife I imagine it will be pretty nice. If the actual knife is like the picture, and I don't see why it wouldn't be, then I think I will be plenty pleased with it. One of my best recollections of the 8th grade, besides, Julie Wright that is:D:D:thumbup:, was when us boys would get together in the hall during our break period and check out each other's "hardware". I carried a Queen melon tester pattern for the long straight blade and a sometimes Hawk from Case (I think). The Hawk was the number one knife that the "hoods" carried and I sorta was a quasi hood, if you will!! Kudo's to AG for coming up with a SUPER Hawk Bill that I would loved to have had in the 8th grade!!:D:thumbup:

I bought one and like it. The blade projects quite a bit from the handle when closed, so it's really not suitable for pocket carry. Comes with a nice edge, and handle material and workmanship seem quite good. Purchased for cutting poison ivy, random twigs, and pruning and gardening for the back 40. Will update after extensive use.

I suppose there is not enough demand. I know that I cannot afford to set up a salt or lead pot operation in China
