I wanted to report that after casting covetous glances at some AG Russell offerings, I finally bought them, and was pleased.

First was the Folding Gent's Hunter in 154CM. This is nicely made, not perfect grinds, but well worth the price. The knife has no clip, is made of slender micarta slabs only, and has a traditional lockback. Very nice.

I also got some of the kitchen knives he offers in AUS8 with laminated wooden handles. I particularly like the profile of these knives, and got the paring knife, the 4-inch cook's knife, and the 6-inch cook's knife. These sit on the counter and handle all my cooking and dining needs of late.

All of the A.G. Russell brand of knives are top quality materials. The finishing isn't always perfect, but you can be assured of a quality knife. I've never been disappointed in any of their offerings, and own four of them myself. They also have a great return policy, should you be in any way disappointed. As to the lack of a clip, I hear from the Man himself that he really doesn't like clips, and the only knife in the A.G. Russell line-up that has one is the StrikeForce folding camp knife.

I also looked at the Folding Gent's hunter, and seriously considered getting the Talonite bladed one.
