AG Russell - grand opening

August 3 - 4 is the official grand opening of AG Russells newly built store. I leanred of this from a forumite, and then saw it mentioned in one of AGs catalogs. As I recall, CJ Buck, Pete Gerber and reps from CRKT, Kershaw and many other companies will be there. There will also be lots of custom makers there. I guess it will be like a nice little knife show. I beleive the catalog said (I will have to double check) that the companies will have little things to give away like pins, shirts and hats. Also, there is suppose to be drawings for knives.

I know I plan to show up with a handful of $$ (who needs to eat?) and a smile.

Is anybody here planning on going?

I have been to the new store already, and its very nice. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere (very easy to find) on nice piece of land.

Speak up if your gonna be there.
 
Ah, just noticed my catalog sitting here. A partial list mentioned in the catalog states that there will be:

CJ Buck, Pete Gerber, AG Russell (of course), and people from SOG, CRKT, Boker, Ka-Bar, Kershaw, Queen-Ontario, Camillus and Lone Wolf knives.

Schrade will be there with D'Holder and Bob Dozier.
 
Richard is right on the money.
Be sure to come on by and see it all. Should be a pretty big doing.And dont forget to stop in the showroom and say hi.

Was thinking about coming my self. But was wondering if it would be wortht the 4 hour drive and an overnight in a hotel.

Guess it kind of depends, on who you ask but I would bet that all of you would say it would be worth it.;)
 
If I was withing a 4 hour drive I would be there. But I am much further away. I am sure that the people that do go will not be dissapointed.

I might be able to make this one. We are taking the youth from the church to a week long camp that week, but I believe we get back on Aug. 2. I don't work on weekends with my summer job, so I might be able to drive up early saturday morning and stay there for the day. Richard, let me know if you want to drive up there together. It could be a lot of fun.
