AG Russell Kitchen knife - any info

I recently picked up this A.G. Russell kitchen knife. Marked A.G. Russell and 8W, 4" blade length, laminated handle. It appears to be an older one as there is nothing like it on their site.

Can anyone offer any info on it? I got it cheap and AG Russell usually has decent stuff.

Maybe but it does not look the same. The knife has a MUM logo on it but I don't think it is the same as Kikuichi's logo

Per A. G. Russell; it is a "Very fine knife from a Japanese maker (no longer in business), I believe from the early to mid 90s."

They did not say who the maker was but that is OK.

Forward to Friday Mar 7, knife arrived and it is a nice one. Thin blade, sharp and feels good. It is also now one of my wife's knives.
