AG Russell Medium Barlow Lockback...Do you have one?

I have the black micarta version. Excellent knife for the money, fit and finish is perfect.
Very easy to open ...light pull. I have a few of the other patterns too and all of them are excellent.

I really like mine. It rides daily in my truck and frequently fulfills all of my weekend knife duties. Right now there's a bit of tree sap stuck to the blade and quite a few scratches on the bolster. It's the one knife I routinely toss to my 12yo son when he doesn't have his on him.

No solo pics....

Yes, one in yellow delrin, I carried it EDC for nearly a year. Fit and finish was great. One of the features I most like about this and AG's other traditionals is the stop pin that keeps the blade edge from contacting the spring when you close the knife, and another is its 316 stainless bolsters and liners. The lanyard hole is small and the location is odd though and feel it would have been better deleted from the design.

I had one as well and really enjoyed it plus you cant beat the one hand open traditional knife, I am not a big fan of modern folders but loved this feature. YOu really cant go wrong with this knife good quality and a great price.

Yup. Got this one in the black "rucarta" which is his take on micarta.

Fit, finish and operation are 5 stars out of 5.

Like the stop pin as it keeps the edge perfect. Don't like the lanyard hole (I think I read that AGR wasn't too thrilled with it either, but can't be sure) but it isn't a bother, and the knife came razor sharp. It is a great knife, regardless of the cost.

My only surprise was the hollow grind of the blade. It is a deep hollow grind and the edge of the blade is thin. The grinds on both sides were spot on, and as I said earlier it came very sharp. The surprise? First, no one seems to grind their knives like this anymore as it is a lot of work (I am used to my recent Queen grinds... ahem...) and I didn't expect to see this kind of edge on a Barlow pattern since I think of them as a less refined work knife.

The good news is that as sharp as it comes from AGR, this thin edge will get even sharper and makes a really wicked slicer with a bit of work.

After another long look at my knife, there's a few more things to mention.

The lock is interesting, there's no opposing leaf spring on the lock bar, there's a small coil spring tucked in the back. This leaves more room for a slightly wider blade.
Also most lock-back knives I've seen have a notch on the blade where the lock slips in. This one has two notches for the lock to fit in , almost like a key.

It's really a great design.

Great knife! I have the yellow derlin version as well. Fit and finish is excellent, blade perfectly centered, sharp, etc. Love the knife. You can't go wrong with any of the AG Russell knives. The quality is top-notch, even more so considering the relatively inexpensive price. ( Makes it easy to buy more!)

Thanks guys......looks like I'll put this one on my "must have" list.
