Does anybody have any experience with these? According to the description they are made of Hitachi Blue steel from Japen. I have never heard of that steel before. 59-61 hardness and non-stainless, so it probably rusts easy, but I can take care of knives, so that isn't a huge deal.

I am just wondering if the knife holds an edge good, and if it is decently tough or not.

I bought one of the "Traditional Japanese Hunting Knives" from AG Russell:

It's the same steel, perhaps made by the same folks. I don't know how well it holds up to hard use, but I can say it came Super Sharp (wow!) out of the box. It's also one beautiful knife and sheath!

I don't think you'll be sorry with the neck knives.

Best Wishes,
Bob
