AG Russell One Hand Knife

I've had two, a full serrated Paramedic, and the drop point. They are a true one hand, the lock works very well, unlike some major brand liner locks I won't carry anymore. It's very thin, light weight, keeps a good edge, good ergonomics.

I buff mine up periodically with brown grit scotchbrite pad as the stainless will get scratched up over time. I bought the last one out of AG's old store in the discount case, bargain price because it was pocket worn. Five minutes with the scotchbrite and voila, like new.

I like it for dress carry and added a tab pull lanyard. If it had a clip, I would carry it daily. AG seems reluctant to add a clip, but if a chicago type screw would fit in the lanyard hole, and the clip had ears to mate with the curve of the butt, it wouldn't rock around. I may yet ask STR to make one, he's good, and relatively close.

NOBODY else offers anything like it - it is truly unique, and I feel well worth the money just for the 100% in your life satisfaction guarantee - which I have used on another item. AG is good for it. You won't be dissatisfied however it turns out.

Hey, that was my first "serious" knife!! :)

I still own it and probably won't ever have cause to let it go.

Solid little guy that takes a great edge. Lockup is crisp and secure. Nice and thin, it carries well with all attire.

Only modification I made was to knock off a couple of sharp corners.

Great, GREAT knife.

Had the original for EDC for years , slim , convenient ,excellent design !! I gave that up for a Sebenza because of the better steel .However I just got a One Hand with the CPM154 steel which I consider one of the best. It may be two EDCs one for each pocket !

I've had 2 of them, the first I carried so much I wore the thumbstud down to a nubbin. I sent it in to A.G. to get it refurbished, and he sent me a brand new one! Great customer service, and that knife is one of my favorite EDCs, flat, light, holds a good edge, easy to resharpen, and very secure lock.

I often carry one of the Featherlite onehand knives. I can open and close it with either hand.

I carry a Featherlite A G every day. I have many knives but this always goes with me no matter what else I may carry. I had this one for about 3 years and bought a back up Featherlite about 6 months ago. The blade had a little play so I exchanged it for another one.A G Russell did not even charge me postage when they sent me another one. I think Russell's guarantee is the best. I tried the knew all steel version but it had a few rough edges and I sent it back and A G refunded my money. Excellent business practices. I just decided to order another one and give it a try one more time as I like the looks of the new One hand steel version. Don't worry Mr. Russell I am not sending this one back.

Hi, I bought the cpm-154 about a month and a half ago. It was supposed to be an everyday carry. I have an original that i bought 12 years ago but i didnt want to chance losing it. Well im a huge fan of the edge but the handle is made of a much lighter/thinner steel and throws off the balance of the knife compared to the original. I had to adjust the lock spring so that the knife would even lock, it still does not quite seat as well as the original lock, but i trust it not to fold up on me. I can deal with all this but about a month after having the knife I noticed rust on the blade. Mind you I havent used this for much else than cutting a few strings and rope at work. I really am bothered by the rust but Its something I will have to deal with. I guess it came from the perspiration in my pocket. I wish I could afford one of the damascus originals that are left on the site, but I just cant get that kind of money together for a knife. I picked up a one hand original on ebay last week for $27.00, I recieved it yesterday only to be disapointed that the previous owner had sharpened it so much that it lost the belly on it and has just a very straight edge. Oh well, I may just have to chance packing the original.....I hope this helps....Heath
I live in las vegas,nv so you may rule out the very dry climate as causing this.
