Some years ago, I bought an AG Russell scout knife in the Exchange, for my little brother. It was very well made, I believe it had 154CM steel, and I forget the type of wood covers it had, but they were nice. Rosewood possibly? No idea. I thought about keeping it for myself, and made a joke about it with the seller, but he said I better give it to my brother. I agreed, and my brother has used it since.

I had seen the same model advertised in AG's catalog, with different covers, usually stag or micarta, or was it carbon fiber? The steel was 154CM. I got a very good deal, the price in the catalog was about three times what I paid on the Exchange.
I would like to know who AG went to to have these scout knives made. I saw that the main blade is 154CM and the others are 420. 420 what, I don't know. HC, J2? I didn't see any for sale on AG's site, are these still available?
It looked like this one, and has held up very well. The main blade does not have the snap that the other blades do, but it is the best current example of a scout knife I have seen.
