it was just 50 bucks…

I've planned to get one and wait with purchse for too long!
(sorry for whinin, guys)

But. Have I missed much? D2+Al handle are tempting and I really love its spearpoint blade. On the other hand, do I really need one more linerlock folder? Hey, is' clipless!
In the other words, is it worth the money
(smth about 100, for now)?

Lenny,

I bought one about two months ago. It's a very lightweight folder, almost too light to be strong, about the same size as the $20.00 Kabar Dozier folder. It's very well made but lacks a pocket clip ( I think).

I bought it because I liked my KaBar Dozier folder so much, but if you buy the $20.00 Kabar Dozier you'll feel like you got a much better deal and IMO you won't be missing much.

For 50 bones, I don't really think you can go wrong on this one. When I look at the knife in my pocket (Benchmade 440, Osborne design, S30V steel, liner lock, aluminum handle, more of a gent's folder/general light utility) and its cost ($120 in a store, slightly cheaper online), a folder with D2 and an aluminum handle with a liner lock sounds great for $50.

Alas, $50 was special offer that already ended. $100 is another story.
Next to my whishlist is SpecBump (the one with satin finish)
I think i'll grab it while it still available.

i also missed out on a knife when A.G. Russell sold out of their ats-34 lockbacks

sad sad day

moral of the story-

when you see a knife that you want--don't screw around--buy it!
You knew that this was a special deal.

Shaldag, that's going in my ammo pouch for when I need more arguments for poor fiscal planning. ;)

2shaldag Don't screw around, you said? I'm on the other continent, to begin with. Each delivery adds up 30 bucks.

2JPD1998 maybe I'll get cheapo one someday.

You can't go wrong, it's a great knife for $20 US , I got the hunter blade... It's a perfect EDC for times when a big knife can't be carried.

I thought it was exceptionally good value if you were looking for something like that.

I decided like you did that I had enough blades of that type and would rather put the 50 bucks (+ shipping) towards the next knife I really want - where the 50 could come in very handy!

I really wanted to buy one of those too. I guess we both put it off just a little too long. $50...definitely. $100...no thanks. I've missed a couple really good deals by procrastinating just long enough to miss out by a hair. A ZDP189 Calypso for $49 (still pissed off at myself) and a Spyderco Persian for $60 (I wound up buying one for about $20 bucks more). I won't let it happen again.
