AG Russell Sting

I just bought the AG Russell Sting and would like to be able to throw it. It seems to be really handle heavy but I've heard of people throwing it.

There is a knife throwing section in the forum, you might get more lucky there.
This webpage has a testimonial about throwing with it. It doesn't contain much advice though just to dull the blade and use the military throwing style whatever that is.
 
it's 1050 steel which is certainly soft enough but the point is very thin... unless you really knew what you were doing chances are you'll snap it.

lol +1 on that statement. Also, I had a sting once and do not recommend throwing it at all. It is way too handle heavy, and is a bit expensive to be used as a thrower. I suggest getting a set of united cutlery or even some cheap unbranded ones off ebay
