AG Russell's knife sharpener is good.

8 bucks for a sizeable blade and chipped up?seems like a steal to me. I dont know what equipment they are using but if they are hand sharpening and going through a grit progression and hand sharpening, seems like its more of a service than a revenue stream. Got any pictures of the finished product?

A.G. Russell has a super name to uphold, and it appears as though they are on track.
Glad that you had such good service. I really like my Acies 2; it is a beauty...

2.91" ZDP-189 1/8" thick blade (tip to grip) with advertised BRH of 64-66. Closed length is 3.81" and a very solid lockup. Very smooth operation, and well worth the money, IMO.
Also has a deep-carry pocket clip; lots of nice stuff on their site.

You still have an answering machine?!? Please tell me that you don't have to rewind the tape to hear it. Please tell me that it's digital.

Well, one of my cars runs on points. My first car (I'm 45 now), and it's a '66 Rambler. Sure it's a pain, but it really only takes a minute to pop off the distributor cap, dry it out, pull the point and sand it, replace, and go (manual choke might take a second too, but hey). But, an answering machine??? You don't have a beeper do ya! I sometimes hunt with my '58 Bear Alaskan, but I don't have an answering machine anymore. Just busting yer balls, I'm still lookin for a wick for an old kerosene heater I have, and I don't have the motivation.
