For about 2 weeks in a row (or more) we have had thunderstorms and VERY heavy rain here in east TX. Now, for the 2nd day in a row we have a tornado warning headed for my community. This area cannot take much more rain, we've been ransacked by tornadoes and it seems like there's no end in sight. We have a 20% chance of rain tomorrow, afterwards, we have 9 solid days of at least 50% chance of rain....some days 60, 70 or 80%. So, its not getting any better anytime soon. I know the Austin/San Antonio area is being hit hard with rivers flooding, but are there other parts of the country feeling this? Is Texas about to become one big swamp?

In mass we have had .5inches of rain in 45 days. Send it my way my garden needs it. I must say we have had weird weather in the northeast the last 5 years. I wonder if anyone else have noticed odd weather in their state. I hope the rain lets up in your area.

We had a frost 3 days ago. Also had the most recorded snow in history. Longest winter i have ever seen. Very windy too. We also had a bad tornado a couple years back which is odd. Even a couple earthquakes. Seems fitting Art Bell will be back on the airwaves in July. Probably tell me the apocalypse is near. Love me some Art Bell.

I'll be sending you some dry weather thoughts. Water is always underestimated... I hope it doesn't do any real damage.

Thanks. It's still pouring since my first post. Too much rain is not good at all. There's gonna be some bad flooding in the area for sure.

Thought El Nino was a WWE wrestler? hehe, I've seen national and local forecasts talk about it, but it's been about a decade or so ago. Whatever is going on with our weather, hope its not going to be "end of days" catastrophic. Lots of people are losing their homes as we speak.

I'm here in Houston, and flooded in here at work. The frontage road (610 @ 45) is about 4 feet deep, and rushing like a river. I've been here all day and I'm fixing to be here all night most likely. (And then all day tomorrow)
Rain rain go away!

Im in Texarkana, and the Red River is due to overflow at any given time, flooding a vast area on the outskirts of town. Last time it happened was I think in 1990, Should be fun...

Guess it's time to use some bushcraft skills on office furniture! Really, be safe bro. Know it's pretty bad in H-town right now.

They had to evacuate the San Marcos river area because it rose 6ft in just a few mins. Hope the Red River doesn't cause the same problems.

I hope that all you Texans stay safe. It sounds pretty bad. I spoke with a guy in Texas and he had a small tornado touch down about a mile from his house. Scary stuff.

It's flooding down in Texas ...

See the raging river? That's the 610 frontage road:

Lightning and stalled cars:

This is what I faced when I tried to leave work:

The water is pretty much gone, but the cleanup is far from over. Also, I'd highly advise everyone not to buy any used cars in or coming from Texas for a while...

It's a lot better, as the rain has ceased for the last 2 days, however, it's going to rain overnight, again on sat and on sun. On mon, we have a 50% chance. Guess it's safe to say we're not out of the woods just yet.
