I have a Camillus combat knife for sale on Ebay and was told by an Ebay User that because "U.S. Camillus" is engraved on the bolster, it is not military issue and was made post 1974. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks.

If I am looking at the correct auction, your knife might be a post Vietnam model 5684. I am no expert however, and could be way off. Search Camillus 5684 for yourself.

Bottom line is that with a zero feedback rating, it probably won't fetch what it would with a higher feedback rating. Zero feedback generally = higher buyer risk = reduced bid amounts (note I wrote "generally"). Also in my opinion and in my experience, shelling out an additional 15 cents to start the auction out at $9.99 and more important spending another 15 cents for an additional picture makes a difference. Prospective buyers like to see what they are bidding on.

With that said, the knife is a good one and I will take a shot at it for sure. For your sake, I hope I am outbid. Good luck

This thread is completely improper, which is why I have locked it. References to live auctions are not allowed on Bladeforums. Please take the time to read the FAQ before doing much posting around here. This is an infraction offense.
