How do you age G10?

I have an ESEE 5 that I stripped and aged with chlorine? I forget now. But the micarta scales took on all the patina of the rework - meaning after all the handling and sanding and processes - it to looked older and dirtier and at used. But the scales on my ESEE 5 are awful square and uncomfortable. So I noticed these contoured shaped ones in G10 at Knife Connection. And had to have them. I put them on tonight. And man was it worth the money. Much better fit for my hands. So much more comfortable. And easily as good a grip as the Micarta.

Only problem is it looks like new plastic. Dull (which is good). But new plastic. Is there anyway to age these? Or at least make them look dirtier and used? Darker maybe?

Not trying to knock the stuff. It's amazing. And you can tell it's just tough. The shape I got on these is so much more ergonomic than the stock square ones from ESEE. I really do like them. And they look like their gonna stay new looking. Which isn't a bad thing. I just want to try to make them match my knife a little better. I did try a dirty oily rag. But it seemed to just take the oil and get shinier. lol.

Use it. Then use it some more. Then use it with dirty hands. Then don't clean them. That's all I got.

The micarta handles are easily reshaped... and, since you've already replaced them, you've got nothing to lose.
