I was pulling an old All in Wonder AGP graphics card out of an old machine, planning to put it into a faster machine but the two slots are different so the card doesn't fit into the newer computer's AGP slot. Were there different generations of AGP or am I just missing something here? I didn't think so, but the two slots are definitely different. Both cards are labeled AGP (and definitely do not fit PCI slots). I can post pictures when I get home if necessary. Thanks.

I think the newer generation of AGP runs at a higher voltage. They changed the slot so users wouldnt fry their older AGP cards like you nearly did.
Time to upgrade the card maybe?

Thanks, Kakster. It's really a "throwaway" type card that was just sitting around doing nothing so I thought I'd see if it worked in a different computer. If it was important at all I would've looked into it a little more before trying it. We usually order our computers here with just integrated video since the faculty don't require anything special so I don't have too much experience in the way of graphics cards. After doing a little more research I've found a little about 2X, 4X, 8X, etc. AGP so that'll come in handy down the line somewhere.
