Anyone have one or been lucky enough to handle one? In the last 6 or so catalogs I've recieved, that's the one knife I drool the most over. I have, and truly love, the AGR Beak and I am assuming that the AOK is, at the least, of similar build quality but have been wondering about the action, the f&f, etc.

Can anyone comment? Given the risk free return policy, I expect I'll be purchasing one in the next few months, but I just thought I'd ask here first.

Late in seeing this post - and I do not have one - but the knife has also caught my eye in the latest catalogs.

I have a few concerns which is keeping me from buying one until I see some reviews - the stag handles (I would like to see it up close), no pivot pin to take away any blade play, and the blade steel.

I am by no means a steel snob, but I have grown fond of 154CM and S30V. There are a few other knives that are a little less expensive that gets me closer to the sweet spot.

Post a review if you decide to get one - I would like to know how the knife is!

The handles turned out to not be stag but bone jigged to look like stag. The proto types were antler. so we loweered the price.

I designed the dknife so it is as fine as frog hair. I would not wait around. Buy it and if it is not better than you expeted return it, no hard feelings

My main concern is with the faux engraving. In my limited experience, that sort of thing can turn out looking great or... otherwise. No problems with ats-34 here; I actually like it very much. But, then again, I also have no problems with the 440 series steel on many knives. I will post a review when I get one. it'll be a few months though, just hopefully not too long if I'm reading between the lines correctly.

I noticed the lower price but somehow missed that it was jigged bone instead of stag. Not a deal breaker for me, but, as I think most would agree, stag is always nice. :) Is the photo on the website of a knife slabbed with the jigged bone? If so, it looks incredibly well done. FYI, it says "jigged stag antler" on the site.

Thanks for the responses!
