Gang- In the early 70's, A. G. Russell and W. C. Davis pioneered a linerless phenolic folder. This design was strong and light weight. It was a great idea and Gerber jumped on it, hence the Gerber LST.
I'd like to see A. G. come out with a folder like this again. Would anyone else have an interest in a folder like this?

Thanks A. G.
How about a folder that's more hand filling?
Is your Brute no longer in production?

Lycosa,
The American maker who made them for me has been quite ill and the Japanese firm that made that version is no longer in business.

I could get you an American version in 154CM or ATS-34 for about $295 or if there is enough interest I should be able to design a new knife in that style in 8Cr13MoV for about $50-$60

Do you think that there are many out there that remember or care? all the best, A. G.

Thanks A. G.
I would love one at either price range.
And to answer your question, sadly... no.
All the Best.

I have a couple of AG Russell Linerless folders. Two are toothpicks (lockbacks), ATS-34 blades, one with SF scales, the other with G10. Both have held up well. Another AGR I have is a linerless black Micarta lock back with a ATS-34 blade. Looks nice enough to carry when wearing a suit and tie. I think it was called the Brute. I believe that I got them about 2000 or 2001.

Al Mar UltraLights are also linerless.

You know, the best one we have ever done is the K-93, Featherlite. The most popular folder I ever designed. We have sold about 50,000 plus the 11,000 we sent to Iraq and Afghanistan in 2004. the handles are molded of glass filled nylon but they are indeed linerless.

A. G.- Thanks! I have one.
Can you design a larger model? Please.

Just about everybody here should have one. Just how big do you want the handle to be 4.25, 4.5? Whatever the handle the blade will be about 0.6" less I have a new 3" handle coming this year

A. G.- I'd like a 3 1/2" blade. You can take it from here. Thank you very much!

That works pretty well, what I have already decided to do is a 3" blade and a 3 1/2" blade. in addition to the 3" handle that does not have the front lock of the featherlite, just a mid-lock, the little knife is designed for folks who are not knife people.

The Featherlite is my favorite folder without a clip. This is an amazing knife. It and now my Acies2 aree my constant companions!
