agruss workings man's barlow opinions: other similar

That is beautiful knife, and being an A.G. Russell knife I'm sure its a quality knife. A.G. only puts his name on items that are constructed well. I tend to like stainless knives but I live in a high humid area of Florida.

Cool-it seemed like too good of a price for 2 blades! Thanks for the reply. I have never had a high carbon blade for a pocket knife, but I have 2 Koyote knives made out of L6 (or 15n20) that rust quickly but are super durable and hold an edge like bothing else. Those always get min oil every use so I don't think I would mind not having stainless.

I have the Working Man's Barlow. Made by Boker. Really nice. Good F&F. Just the right amount of spring snap. I was pleasantly surprised that the blades have a mid-stop that is very well executed (although some do not like this feature).

Springs appear to be CS. Was stongly magnetic and I got some patina after touching a tiny drop of vinegar to them. Hmmmmm, that litle touch of patina looks good.....maybe I'll play around today and force-patina the entire knife?? Heck, it's a 'working knife', not collector grade....and I bought it to carry. OK, I talked myself into it.

Thanks. I'm not a huge Barlow fan, but this one is tempting. I hope they expand this line. AG? Listening? :)
