Ok, so I received a 3 5/8" Gunstock this weekend that is intended to be a Christmas gift for my Uncle. I took some quick pictures to post up as I oiled and prepped the little knife for Tuesday.

I was very impressed with the quality that is offered at this price point. The action is smooth enough to be opened with one hand and I was surprised at the color of the Delrin. It is a shade of yellow that is lighter than I expected. I think my Uncle will like it a lot.

Anyway on to the pictures.

Hope you guys enjoyed my pictures, and Happy Holidays everyone!

Very nice looking knife. The blade has a nice fullness to it. One day I will try one of AG's knives.

THat looks like a solid little knife  Sure your uncle will be very happy with it :)

That looks great, I think your uncle will love it!

I agree the full blade is very appealing. It reminds me of some of a Spanish Navaja.

I have one in cocobolo covers. It's a great knife with a LOT of blade stuffed into a medium frame.
It also has the most sensible way to get your one-hand-opening on without thumbstuds or holes to detract from its "traditionalness".

It looks like another "gotta have" knife. I've got list going of AG's knives that eventually need to become part of my collection. I like the yellow delrin especially

Based on my experience with AGR, I have purchased three different knives from him over the last year.

To me, there is no need to say things like "at this price point", or "for what I paid for it" when describing the knives I bought. The fit and finish is great, and in the case of one knife in particular it would rival handmade. The knives I have are just nice knives, period. Like the gunstock, looking at the back of the knives you can see the tolerances are such that it looks like one pieces of metal, but is really the backspring, liners and bolsters. And as close as they fit, the still operated easily and close with authority.

That gunstock looks like a great knife, one that is ready to go to work. I am a sucker for a good work knife, but I think my next AGR purshase will probably be the similarly sized clip point sowbelly. It looks like an old fashioned knife with its design, but looks to be heavy duty enough to be at home on a job site.

Thanks for the pics!

Robert

I bought a seconds curved regular jack and the fit and finish on that was better than the S&M Heritage I bought. Great knives and your uncle won't be disappointed.

yup. AG his knives have better fit and finishthan many other brands and models that cost 4 or more times as much.

Another AGR beauty  I've been tempted by both that Gunstock and his Sowbelly too. I bought 4 AGR knives over the past year, the curved regular Wharncliffe jack, Pinched Peanut, black pearl Spire, and my latest, an Ultimate Pen 2.5 lockback in abalone, and they are all terrific knives!

I'm sure your uncle will be pleased fq55, I'd be hard pressed not to just slip that knife in my pocket and gift something else ;)

I'm sure another of AG's offerings will make my list this year.
