Hey guys,

I found that I needed something slim and can be lost in my pockets till I need it. Instead of a peanut, I want a slippie that is really flat. I am thinking about AG Ultimate Pen knife or it's bigger brother . Do anyone have this knife? How do you like or dislike it? Do it come with a lanyard hole? In addition, are there other knives like it?

Thanks.

another two very thin pocket knives is the Vic alox Solo and bantom. The Cadet is also a pretty thin one and is 2 layers.

I have one. It's tiny and super thin. If you decide to get one, I'd go with the bigger locking one or either of the ones with scales.

That's a good idea. But I don't think the bigger one has a key ring attachment. I am kinda paranoid about losing it in my pockets. Btw does anyone have the 2.5 ti lockback?

The humble CASE yellow handle Pen-Knife is a tidy carry and useful, slim too in both CV and SS

Schrade OT3 lockback is small and quite slim but it comes from you-know-where these days...nice enough though.

That Pruning knife on the Russell page has really set my mouth watering as I'm a keen gardener&fed up with cheap blunt pruners (Opinel is an exception here). When WILL I stop seeing knives I must have:D

I have one of the Ultimate Pen Knives from AG Russell. Mine is the Anniversary model with the nice gold-finished handles and VG-10 blade. It is so small and slender that I'm confident it would be 'invisible' in your pockets, even after eating Thanksgiving Dinner. The fit-and-finish is very good also.

I really like the looks of the "Ultimate Pen Knives with Bolsters and Scales", but they won't be as thin and they lack the bail...

They are on the small side, too small for my EDC needs.

The good thing is they are relatively inexpensive so you can afford to buy one to try out.

They are cute little guys and will disappear in your pocket!!

You might look at A G Russell's funny folder. I have one and it is a great little knife.

Yes, I do. I just rigged up the sheath it came with - small lanyard - and keep it in my watch-pocket (that small pocket usually around the right front hip pocket). I'm sure a small leather sheath with a clip could be done pretty easily too (either pocket clip, or a carabiner-snap to attach to belt-loop). I think the AG UPK is a bit too small for me. The 2.5 folder is much nicer size, still very slim, and really the minimum size that I can really use. YMMV

I found the bail on the UPK to feel too fragile (stuff pops off my keychain all the time) - admittedly, I never really used it - so, take it for what it's worth.

Wow, I didn't know that the 2.5 Ti lockback came with a sheath. How it the rig working for you? Does anyone have a pic of it? Thanks

The sheath is just a small, thin black-leather sheath - I drilled some holes in it and tied a crappy lanyard with a carabiner clip on the end. Really easy to do, though you should consider riveting the holes to reduce wear (I had some in my sewing kit).

It works alright, though I got tired of the lanyard getting in the way of the pocket, and now just carry the sheathed 2.5 Ti Lockback in a mini-wallet clipped to my belt.
