I finally got my knives today. Those of you that saw my last thread know that I've been waiting a little longer than expected.

Awesome lefty Sebenzas! It's always nice to see more lefties out there.

I'm glad that you finally got your knives after the mix up.

I've been thinking about picking up a small to augment my large. Between the two, which do you think/find that you will carry more often?

I'll probably carry the small more often. Mostly because it's closest to the size of the EDC I've been carrying for a long time.
I do like the handling of the large a little better as far as ease of opening. But I've had them for a little over an hour so my opinion may change. :)

Congrats! Patience is a virtue!

If it makes you feel any better, I'll tell you a little story. . . .

I once ordered a hand-made Spanish classical guitar ($4000, all paid in advance) designed to my specifications. Wait time was expected to be 6 months (after all, it was a hand-made custom). When I received the guitar (after 7 months), it had the wrong wood on the soundboard. WTF!?! Of course, I had to send it back (to Spain). The maker felt horrible about the mistake, and he put all orders aside and rushed my new "correct" guitar. It took him another 3 months. So, in the end, and after 10 months, I finally had my new guitar. However, the maker was kind enough to include a customized hard-shell flight case (valued at $400) at no extra charge. Bottom line: I used to be impatient . . . but no longer. Patience is a virtue that I have conquered! Well, sort of. . . .

And that reminds me -- did the seller do anything extra to "make it right" for you?

Congrats again, you must be very excited!!

Ah, ya gotta love custom guitars. :) Mine is an electric with flamed koa wood for the body.

Yeah, they threw in a Benchmade field sharpener. I have to give them credit for being very good at staying in contact. I had another order that arrived that same day where it was short two items. I'd called and they told me to email with my issue to "support". I've still yet to hear from them.

I have no qualms about doing business with Grand Prairie Knives. Everyone makes mistakes. They made it right so they keep my future business.

Two orders and two mistakes??

Yes but two different companies. GPK made it right. I'm still waiting on the other company. :grumpy:
The other company isn't a knife company. I'd put a large order in and had ordered 3 of one tool but they only shipped one. I'm giving them standard shipping time then I'm calling again.

I'm actually thinking about ordering a second small so I don't feel so bad about carrying one and the inevitable scratches it will end up with. They still have one LH in stock and I thought about getting it. I'm not looking to start a debate about it, but I prefer pre "Idaho" handle stamp so I figured I might want to snag this one while I can.

Well I got my second small today. It's funny, what I usually do when I have two of a knife is find the one that has a flaw or the most flaws and carry that one. I went over both of these really well and had to just pick one.
Couldn't find anything wrong with either one.

I'm sure the one riding in my pocket right now will have scratches eventually. But for the moment, they're both as good as they could be.

LOL! I do the exact same thing -- find the one with the "flaw" and carry that one since I'm going to flaw-it-up even more.
