ever since I have been on this forum I have noticed that many people go ga ga over Randals. I saw some low quality pictures of one and was asking myself what's the big deal, just looks like a regular hunting knife. Well last night I saw some great pictures on ebay, and I have to say Now I understand what the hubub is all about. Those knives have beautiful blade grinds. Which Randalls are more collectable?
pre 1995.

There are some special pieces, like the 50 year anniversary knife, and the minis they have made. As far as the general type stuff, war is in! Vietnam blades or WWII blades are hot. Even if the blade wasn't IN vietnam, you'll see the knife on ebay advertised as vietnam-era, and the price is high. Go to ebay and do a search on randall knives. You can see a whole bunch of pics and you get to see a great variety of Randall variations. Oh, you'll get an appreciation of what is collectible too.

I am told that any blade made before Bo Randall, the old man and founder of the company, died has particular colector value. I don't know when that was, however, only that it was after my two Randalls were made in 1961 and 1978.
