Aha, Perhaps someone dinked my new 301?

I bought a 301 from Sportsman's Warehouse, and although it was the display model from the case, it was, I thought, brand new.

However, the main blade was a bit lacking, especially compared to the 373 Walmart model I had. The main blade is a bit shorter, and just kinda stumpy, by comparison. I had not other 301's to compare it to, so I thought mine was the norm. The 301 I bought from Sportsman's is the upside down T year model.

I just got another 301 in trade, and the main blade on it is pretty much identical to the 373. This 301 has the upside down C tang stamp.

Assuming of course that the blade shape was not changed, perhaps mine from the display case was a return, or some such.

I suppose it is possible that they sold you a returned knife but it is hard to say without actually seeing it. The blades should all be basically the same, knife to knife, with only a slight variation due to the fact that they are sharpened by hand.
