Those of you not familiar with GA should know we have four seasons; cold, pollen, sweltering, and pretty nice. Well it's pollen season and time to start the day hikes. All the more reason to take out the 15!

We ventured on to ta new trail that the first time we went the incredibly wrong way and had to use some dead reckoning to get back to the car. This time we stayed on the right path.

Exploring the forest with the fam and taking a nice lunch break. (It's still scary how well the Rachel Ray lunch box fits in an Army assault pack front pouch.)

And to show you how much pollen is in the air I tried to take a picture of the pollen in the light of our back porch light. I must have laughed for 15 minutes straight after looking at it because I think on the inside I'm still 10 years old.

Hope you all enjoyed the pics and I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone at the gathering. This time I'm not passing Benton's only to find out they're closed on Sunday. Take care.

The last picture aside nice pictures! That looks like a fun li'l hike.

What scales are those on the 15? They are cool but I can't tell.

Great trip pics. That's some very excitable pollen.

The scales are just from me messing around. One side is black/tan g-10 with toxic green liner and the other side is purple/black g-10 with glow in the dark epoxy filled in over the nuts. I lightly coated them in wax before I epoxied so I can still remove the handles if I want. Honestly they don't match but they felt so nice in my hand that I ended up just keeping them on and haven't really felt the need to make any others.

edit: just to clarify that last pic is actually the umbrella from my porch table set............giggity

My wife has that same rachel ray assault lunchbox.

Great pics - and looks like a real nice time out with the family.
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me - thank for clarifying about the assymetric scales.
The purple looks good!

Man, you love that glow in the dark stuff dontcha? Great family time there.

I thought it was time to break out the squid jigs! :D "The Humbolts are biting!" :eagerness:
:pirate:
