Ahhh! My First Busse!

Well, guys I've been lurking on the Busse forum for a few months.
I've been collecting knives for a few years, and would consider myself a tactical folder guy.
But I felt it was time to diversify my collection. A knife collection isn't "complete" until you have at least one nice fixed blade--and too be fair is a knife collection ever complete? Well, I didn't just want any old fixed blade. I wanted the best. And when you consider, build quality, steel, heat treat, and warranty Busse is the way to go.
Fast forward to today. The mail man just dropped off my first Busse. I AM IMPRESSED!!

I went with the ASH-1.
.32" thick
Satin finished
tan canvas micarta magnum handles

That's an AWESOME first piece of INFI.

My first piece is long gone by now, but the first piece that I still own is a .22" thick ASH. I love it! It's not as purty as your Satin one is, but it's pretty unique nonetheless. It has a distal taper and Green (canvas?) Mags.

Definitely an iconic Busse. Right there with the BattleMistress and the Satin Jack. :thumbup:

That was my first busse too... But not my last kind of miss it I let it go last year. I came hear for 1 knife 30 to 40 busses later I'm still here but have managed to find the 3 that work for me.... For now

...and that SJ75 is also awesome. Would like to add that to my collection if I can find one.

See? This is how it starts. Just give me the Ash-1 and run away. It will save you a ton of money.
 
Congratulations on the sweet score and welcome to the madness! I've never had the chance to hold a fatty ASH-1 - but I'm sure it leaves a quite "solid" impression :thumbup:

I bet your next Busse will be a Mistress, most likely an saber grind FBM or the corrugated CGFBM. Keep us updated!
 
I see you have a 100 buck's left. Might as well buy a Swamprat, Rodent Solution $108.00, so you can have some Kin to go with that new Busse. I know, I am a bad influence :)
 
Congrats! Great choice as a first Busse.

An ASH-1 was my first Busse too.............A long time ago when I was still solvent!:D

My advice.......Use the ASH on your CC IMMEDIATELY!
