I took Pete for some training today and shot some birds over his head.
He did great around the gun fire!!!

We went out east of town to a hunt club, as birds arent in season

I took two roosters, with Petes help.

Cut em up using some chopping action with the SFNO on the wings and bones that were to tuff for my krein boning knife...
The blade made short work of the little hollow bones, and the TK-11 hollow ground blade cut the meat up like a Razor!!

.... but da only firearm I see is a sidearm.

If you shot those roosters with a pistol, I am *dayumed* impressed. ;) :D

Looks like you and the furry one had a great day. Wishing you many more once the season starts.

That's a great day out guns, dogs, blades, booze and chicken. Now i'm starving though so it's off to make a sandwich I think.

GREAT post, I LOVE Pheasant hunting. I dont get many up near the Farm in PA. They have a club that releases some every year and thats my and many others only chance at em. I love the taste of Pheasant. Thanks for posting of your dog and take.

Thanks guys, I hunt with a Ruger red label over and under. The pistol is for snakes. It is a bit early to have the rattlers moving yet but better be safe then sorry. Out in Kansas last year I came across a western Diamond back that was six feet long. I enjoy the Chimay more then the Pheasant. It is one of my favorite beverages. The blue label is my favorite but it was a little early to start drinking 750ml of the Grand reserve which is @ 9%! If you haven’t tried it a highly recommend it.

GREAT POST! That looks like some good eats and good times.

I love your pup! Good looking dog. Sounds like he is going to make a GREAT bird dog too...

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!! You win...five cents! OK, we use the Cinq Cents for cooking and the Grand Reserve for sipping during the fine meal! Good looking roosters! Silly looking dog! ;) (Just kidding, sweet looking puppy.)
