I was without my new favorite EDC for the last 6 days... its been annoying. BUT the good news is, it was worth the wait. Got a sheath made locally and had to leave it in order to get things fitted as tight as I wanted. I needed it to be tighter than I would want for a belt knife since I'm going to mount this tip up on a plate carrier.

I also convexed the edge on my WorkSharp. Anyway, just happy to have it back on my hip and thought I'd share.

Who did the sheath? Northern knives?

yes... the work isn't as clean as the Al Welke that i have, BUT it was nice to talk to them face to face to discuss my concerns about retention and mounting. I like supporting a local small business as well.

by the way... your Hinderers ruined my taste for moderately priced folders... thanks for nothing ;)

I have a few knives that need kydex. I will hit them up.

Yeah I used to think a Spyderco Endura was expensive!

Nice! It's always good to have a face to face and hands on with the Artisan.

BTW, have you seen Blade-Tech's molle lok? If you're going to be hanging that beauty off of a plate carrier, it might just be the ticket. I've used them to mount a holster and a sheath on a plate carrier and a molle belt, and they work like a champ.

 I love the Work Sharp knife sharpener it's an excellent sharpening system and my go to sharpener for my convexed Busse's and Busse-kin also I really like your EDC setup and am very fond of EDC sized Busse knives, dang I need to quite procrastinating and get a sheath for my Skeleton Warden.

Yes. I have Molle Loks on another sheath but they are the long size so they don't fit this one. I'm either going to try some short ones or just tie some tight loops if 550 through the eyelets and use the Malice clips from Tactical Tailor.

Yeah, I found the short Molle Loks to be a lot more versatile, to the point that I sent the long ones that came with my Modular Mount System back, to swap them for some short ones. The 550 cord/Malice clip set up would work well too, though, and cost less. The Malice is my first choice for securing nylon gear. BTW, I like the way you have your sheath mounted on the inside of the belt. Smart!

Steve,

Do you have a picture of your PC setup? I don't seem to find much posted about fixed blade mounting.

As for sheath inside the belt, it just felt better. The TekLok is curved on the outside this way, but it makes little practical difference. The knife feels very, very secure on the inside, and I don't have to worry about it moving fore or aft on the belt.

Here you go:

This is my VTAC "Assault" mounted on my Paraclete plate carrier. It's a Blade-Tech knife and sheath that came with the Molle Loks installed.
