Hey everyone,

Browsing Ragnar's website I came across the Ahti "Leuku 180" and am trying to tell myself that I'll make a present out of one for myself as soon as I finish the job I'm currently working on.

I've been looking for a larger Scandi-style knife to pair with the Helle I bought this past March and I'm smitten with the shape and the Materials of the Ahti; I really like the brass bolster/pommel and the curvy, curly birch handle.

Does anyone have one of these? On top of that does anyone have any nice pictures of them? I've read some good things about Ahti knives in general, but researching this model is even trickier than when I went digging around for info on my Helle Fossekallen!

Thanks all.

I used to one, but I didn't use it. Not sure if it's the same model but here's the photo I took then:

I can tell it was insanely sharp! I have used small ahti puukko but it was long time ago. I remember it held it's edge well.

Thanks A.L.! That's just the sort of photo I was looking for. The junction between handle, bolster, and blade looks really neat and I love the grain of that birch! Was there a reason you didn't use it, e.g. poor ergonomics, weight, balance, or something else?
