Just got this one brand new today and I love it already :D
The size and weight of this knife are perfect and the linerlock is great for a lefty like me, it does hurt you thumb after playing with it because of the sharp teeth on the liner.
The jimping on the thumb ramp is perfect, really sharp and just the way I like it.
I have to get a lowrider clip for this one since it will be my EDC but I guess it's the same clip as the Paramilitary.

That jimping on the liner lock is pretty harsh. It made hamburger out of my thumb in the first few days I had mine. "Lubing" the liner with pencil graphite were it contacts the blade helped some.

That was my only gripe. I enjoy the Cap'n.

I wasn't too fond of the captain when i first saw it, but the more i look at it, the more i want it. This one is going on the "buy" list. Nice pictures as well.

Cool. I've got two on the way. I don't even own one yet, and I've decided it's my new favorite knife.

The best way I've ever been able to describe the C-111 Captain model is that it is a self defense gem. It's different than any other Spyder in the SD arena. To me it's like a "convex straight razor". Because with a little patience you can get it about as sharp as a straight razor.

It's stocky but yet very compact and concealable. It's blade geometry could be fierce against any attackers. Not to mention it has many practical uses as well.

I used mine once for skinning a deer and I was amazed at how well it worked. I was truly sorry to see the C-111 Captain to be deleted from the main line up. But that's a sad fact of life with specialized Spyder Designs. But I do believe that the Captain will become more popular now that it's been discontinued.
