Aimpoint mount compatibility?

I am looking at getting an aimpoint after looking at eotech and aimpoint I have decided on a XPS-2 eotech or more likely the aimpoint compC3 or Patrol Rifle sight. So recommendations for one of these three or the aimpoints would be nice. Under $500 is my limit for a sight. I think I might prefer the plain red dot over the Holographic.

Second question when I do decide on an aimpoint is do certain models come with a mount? If not I was looking at the LaRue mount LT 150 and was wondering if it would be compatible with one of the sights listed above. It does not specify on the website but the tube diameter is the same as the models listed and the models are very similar.

I believe that the Patrol Rifle Optic comes with a mount. They will cost less than $500. Not all Aimpoints come with mounts. The CompC3 does not. The C3 and the LaRue mount
will probably cost more than $500.

Watch out for Chinese clones.

Thanks for the info, I am not sure if I will end up with the Patrol or C3 even though for the price and specs I am leaning towards the patrol. I have two or three verified trusted online retailers I buy from that are relatively popular so do not need to worry about clones from them.

The Aimpoint PRO is a good optic. With the LaRue mount it will be just over $400 from his site.
I've spent a more than a small fortune on LaRue products and while I may be an admitted fanboy, I haven't found a better manufacturer to stand behind their products.

No need for the LaRue. The QRP2 is perfectly serviceable. Use it, and if you find that it doesn't meet your needs go and get the LaRue mount.
