The way I translate this is that some ne'er-do-well purloined one of Uncle Alan's prized possessions. Is it possible that Uncle Alan simply misplaced said B/W TV? Anyway, I suspect that the value of a 12" B/W TV is less then nothing. Perhaps the thief did U.A. a favor.

Look on the bright side, it cost me $10.00 to get rid of my old tv when I bought the new HDTV.

You ought to set up those infrared hunting cameras to find out what's going on. There was a guy up here who got busted stealing\removing political signs from a guy's lawn because the landowner set up the cameras. Big fun.

Do you have trash pickup? Was the tv anywhere near your trash cans?

I tried to donate two old color tvs to a thrift store and they wouldn't take them. They said they can't get rid of anything that doesn't have a remote control.

Go to a thrift store and you can get a small color tv for $10 or so. Or if you just want to clutter up your garage with something about that size, how about a plastic milk crate? You can put other old junk inside a milk crate.
