Ain't Scotch great?!!

Finished a bottle of Dimple Pinch last night. Went and bought a bottle of Makers Mark tonight.

I just polished off a bottle of Pig's Nose and have started in on some Bushmills.
I bought a cheap Coleman flask at Wally World and I found that the booze seems even smoother out of the flask. I don't know why. . .

Sippin on some DeWars as I read this thread. Ain't scotch great? :D YES!! (What's this got to do with Busse??)

My wife collects Waterford crystal in the Lismore pattern. For Valentine's Day this year, I got her four whiskey tumblers to go with her set. Expensive, but finely crafted, and they add to the experience of a good scotch.

Think the scotch minds that it's in Irish crystal?

I agree completely. A quality crystal glass goes a long way towards enhancing the drinking experience. You need really good ice too. Cubes out of trays just won't cut it.

There was an episode of "Magnum P. I." where Higgins and one of his British buddies were drinking from decanters, not bottles. After the first sip, the general said something to the effect of "How did you get Irish in your Scotch?" Anyone here think they could tell the difference?

I typically crack ice cubes with a spoon. Take a cube, put it in the palm of your hand, whack it with the back of a spoon.

Makes for nice cracked pieces, and it's part of the ritual for me.

Make mine a bottle of The Macallan and a fresh Fuente Opus X.

I gotta go with the Pig Nose on this one although I've been sloshing down a lot of Tawny Port sicne Skunk poured it on my Cheerios when I wasn't lookin' and got me hooked!!!!

I picked up a handfull of Legal Cuban Pinar P3000 cigars with 48 year old pre-embargo cuban tobacco in them. . . There's really no need to drink with this cigar in your pie hole 'cause it'll knock your socks off!!!! . . . .I didn't say I wasn't drinking. . . there's just no need to. . .which is all the more reason to hoist another round!!!!

Cheers!!!

Jerry

Yep! Had some like that. Sit back in a comfy chair and suck in a few puffs from one of those and your head will be spinning like a top in no time.

Jerry, being a Newbee and since you are my role model please tell me what scotch you prefer and recommend a good quality cigar.

I do have my first Infi picked up from the company store a few weeks ago - Satin Jac Tac.

I'm tryin my best to fit in here and I dearly want a Battle Mistress. If I drink your brand scotch and smoke your brand cigar will that help you to think of me when you have a spare lying around? :D

YES!!!!!!

As for brands, there is only 1 brand of beer and that is CBL. In the scotch department, I drink more Johnny Walker Blue than anything, but have found Pig's Nose to be the best bang for the buck BY FAR!!!! After that, ANY scotch is better than no scotch and can get it all down with a CBL chaser!!! Cigars are pretty simple for me. . . I like Olivas, particularly the Cameroons. . . . Super smooth!!! Earlier today I had a Drew Estate "Natural" and thought it was pretty darned good. . . .Also. just had a cigar made in Kentucky out of Kentucky tobacco and thought it was pretty darned good as well!!!!. .. Again, ANY cigar is better than no cigar at all ! ! ! ! !

I'm also a big pipe smoker and have been for the past 20 years. . . .I like Meerschaum pipes and have bought about 8 of them on this road trip!!!

Skunk found all all of the cool meerschaums before I did, but they don't seem to hold up well after he starts using them as mini pocket-shovels for digging up INFI Tags!!!!

You know, if you drink the right booze and smoke the right cigar and already own 1 Busse blade. . . you are automatically up for "Guinea Pig" status. . . a few more Busses and you'll make it to "Hedge Hog", then "Piglet" and then the world is your trough my friend!!!:D

Nuke on my fledgling HOG!!!!

Jerry
